Recently at Sojourners Mission base we have begun construction on much needed additional bathrooms. Brother Robert Montenez from CC El Monte , Rico and Robert Jr from CC Pasadena and Pastor Archie Corales from Last Chance Ministry blessed us with wonderful servant hearts and fellowship. It is all roughed in ready for the next phase.
A blessed day was spent at the orphanage Alcandanzo la Vision with Pastor Manuel Castro and group from CC Fullerton. The children delighted in the mobile library, crafts, games music , gifted teaching and testimony from an ex Navy seal secret service guard for both Bush presidents. So sweet to see such strength in submission to the Lord and a heartfelt dedication to helping these kids.
The past few months have required several visits to the orphanages to further support and encourage as well as asses the needs where groups can serve.
Short to say, there is no shortage of tasks to accomplish. Several of the orphanages need revision with plumbing, some roughed in walls to be completed tiles replaced and painting to be done everywhere. However all of these things we do second to sharing the word of God with each visit either by group teaching or by one on one as the spirit leads.
Riverside Calvary Chapel from Langley B.C. Canada came down for a long week. Now here is a dedicated crew. One year of planning and fund raising as well as support from Langley Meadows Community School, they tackled a full makeover on Rancho El Faro youth girls orphanage dorms. Needless to say the girls loved it. New bedding, curtains, special touches and hand made art as well as new paint it was a complete transformation.
The weather held out for an outreach in Rosarito where seven people came to the Lord.
It truly was encouraging week to see the unity in the spirit as three churches were represented in the group as well as 2 local churches helping during the outreach.
It was also bitter sweet as this is the home church of our hosting Missionary family the Lee’s. So great to serve with treasured friends and yet sad to see them go. Philemon 1:7 For we have great joy and consolation in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by you, brother. What Blessings! Gloria A Dios!
